Fresh, Local, and In Season: Rockland County Farmers’ Markets to Visit This Summer

By Y.M. Lowy
Sourdough starters in the fridge. Fermented pickles on the counter. Food coloring off the shopping list. Healthy eating isn’t just a trend in our community anymore; it’s becoming the new normal.
One fun and reliable way to keep that up is by buying fresh and local. This summer, explore farmers’ markets in the neighborhood. You’ll find fruits and vegetables picked close to home, along with local eggs, honey, flowers, and other seasonal goods that are hard to match elsewhere in freshness.
