For the First Time: Skver Rosh Hashanah Kibbudim Auctioned by Phone

By Y.M. Lowy

For the first time, the aliyos and kibbudim for the two days of Rosh Hashanah in the Skverer court will be auctioned through a telephone system and digital bidding platform.

The new system comes as thousands of chassidim gather in Skver for Rosh Hashanah, and the traditional in-person sale gets increasingly difficult year after year. Under the new system, chassidim will be able to place bids from wherever they are, either for themselves or for someone close to them.

The aliyos and kibbudim will be awarded to the highest bidders through the new system.
