A chase with Rockland Sheriff officers turned into a manhunt on South Pascack Road and ended with the suspect in handcuffs.
A sheriff's unit attempted to pull over the suspect while he was driving but the driver refused to comply and fled the scene. A car chase followed, and the officers chased the car to South Pascack Road, where the driver abruptly stopped in the tunnel and took off on foot.
A heavy foot pursuit was established with officers from Clarkstown and Spring Valley Police, in addition to K-9 units on the ground. After several minutes of searching, the suspect, a juvenile male, was found and arrested on Second Avenue in Spring Valley, near White Street, where he was hiding in brush on the side of the road.
Rockland Daily will update once more information becomes available.
