Fire Department Training Turns into Real-Time Emergency Response

A joint training session involving the Central Nyack, Blauvelt, and Valley Cottage Fire Departments took an unexpected turn when a car fire broke out on the other side of the parking lot.

The training, initially intended to prepare firefighters for various emergency scenarios, suddenly became a real-life test of their skills. The departments, already on site for the exercise, quickly transitioned from training mode to active emergency response and tackle the car fire.
