Fire Breaks Out at Home in Spring Valley; Children Rescued by Ramapo Police

By YS GOLD

A large fire broke out in the kitchen of a home on the first floor on Stella Drive in Spring Valley.

Multiple children were trapped in the home, but were thankfully rescued by members of the Ramapo Police Department, And the Hillcrest and New City fire departments, and treated for smoke inhalation.

The road was closed off while the various agencies worked at the scene, but has since been reopened.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
