Finkelstein Memorial Library Parking Garage Repairs Near Completion

by M.C. Millman
After three months, the final stages of the Finkelstein Memorial Library parking deck repairs are drawing to a close.
The process began in May and was expected to take 4-6 weeks, as reported by Rockland Daily here.
Given the inconvenience of the ongoing construction, the library will waive fines through Monday, August 14 (excluding Chromebooks, Hot Spots, and Museum Passes) as a layer of polymer to help seal and maintain the longevity of the parking deck is put down.
Some parking spots continue to be unavailable. Library security will continue to be on hand to help direct traffic.
While parking is allowed in the garage, the stairs are closed, so patrons are asked to use the sidewalk to access the building without crossing any closed areas to walk.
