Extensive Preparations Underway Ahead of Historic Double Even Hapinah for Two New Munkatch Buildings on Sunday
By Y.M. Lowy
Munkatch mosdos is preparing for a major milestone on Sunday, the Even Hapinah for two new buildings: Yeshiva Yod’ei Binah Munkatch and Talmud Torah Tiferes Bonim Munkatch.
After months of behind-the-scenes work by dedicated askanim, the projects are now moving toward construction. Two large properties have been acquired, the necessary preparations are underway, and work has already begun at the sites. Excavation is underway at the Talmud Torah property, while trees have been cleared from the site designated for the new yeshiva.
The new Cheder building will span more than 55,000 square feet and feature a modern design with extensive facilities for its talmidim. Plans include a spacious main study hall, dining hall, Otzar Haseforim, mikvah and simcha hall, providing a comfortable setting for the boys to learn.
Extensive preparations are also underway for Sunday's major event, with Rentastic handling the setup and providing the chairs, gates, staging, and other equipment needed to accommodate the large crowd expected for the historic occasion.
The Even Hapinah will take place this Sunday, at 1:30 p.m., at the site of the new yeshiva building at 52 Campbell Avenue in Airmont. The Rebbe will attend to lay the cornerstone and deliver divrei Torah in honor of the occasion.
