Members of Ershte Hilf of New Square along with members of Chaverim participated in a special vehicle emergency training session Wednesday night, aimed at improving their ability to assess and handle various vehicle emergencies.

The training took place at Hi-Teck Auto Repair on Union Road in Spring Valley, beginning at approximately 9:00 p.m. and continuing until approximately 12:30 a.m. Thursday.

During the session, members received hands-on training on handling common to severe vehicle issues, including starter issues, battery failures, overheating engines, along with other mechanical emergencies.

A major focus of the training was learning how to properly assess a situation before taking action. In many vehicle emergencies, taking the wrong steps or attempting an improper repair can make the problem worse or create additional safety risks.

Members were trained to identify the nature of a problem, evaluate potential dangers, and determine the appropriate steps to take before attempting to assist.

The training was part of ongoing efforts to ensure that volunteers are properly prepared to respond to vehicle-related emergencies and continue to provide safe, effective, and efficient assistance to the community.
