Elm Park Pathway Gets Major Upgrade, Lighting Up the Neighborhood

By Rockland Daily Staff

The pathway running between Franke Avenue and Elm Street, alongside Elm Park, has recently undergone a major upgrade, bringing new light, safety, and renewed energy to the community.

New lighting has been installed along the entire strip, making the area safer and more inviting for residents during the evening hours. This initiative, made possible with the strong support of Chief of Staff Mona Montel, reflects a broader effort to enhance public spaces and respond to neighborhood needs.

Further improvements are also planned, including the addition of new benches and enhancements around Elm Park that will make it an even more enjoyable space for children and families.

The project came in response to requests from local residents, who have been working in cooperation with community leaders to enhance and maintain the neighborhood. The response has been overwhelmingly positive. “It’s made a real difference,” said one local parent. “We can walk safely at night now, and our kids can stay in the park longer without worry.”

“A heartfelt thank you to Chief of Staff Mona Montel for her leadership and hands-on involvement in making this project a reality,” said one neighbor. “She really stepped in and helped move things forward - a true example of what responsive and caring leadership looks like.”
