Elijah Reichlin-Melnick Visits Imrei Shefer Cheder

Elijah Reichlin-Melnick continued his tour of local institutions yesterday with a visit to the Imrei Shefer cheder. He toured the school and met with the staff and children, who all left a positive impression on the Senator. 

The administrator of the cheder had the opportunity to sit with Reichlin-Melnick and discuss multiple topics, such as education and funding formulas. They discussed ways that Albany can help support local schools, and the administrator shared the cheder's plans for a new floor to provide some much-needed additional space.

Reichlin-Melnick also stepped into some of the classrooms and interacted with the students. He asked the children what law they would enact if given the opportunity, and one adorable child answered that he would make a law that would grant Imrei Shefer a new building.

Reichlin-Melnick promised that as a Senator he will do whatever he can to fairly represent the needs of the schools and families in the community at large.
