Drunk Driver Accelerates Vehicle Into House in Hillcrest

After a car drove into a house on Saturday evening, March 9, at approximately 6:45 pm, the Ramapo Police Department made an arrest of a drunk driver.

Upon arrival, to Oxford Court in Hillcrest. responding officers observed the driver of the vehicle involved in the incident, a 39-year-old from Spring Valley, on the scene before arresting him and charging him with Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a blood alcohol level of more than 18, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st degree, Operating a motor vehicle without an interlock device, and multiple vehicle and traffic violations.

No injuries were reported at the scene. The driver was released on own recognizance with a future court date.
