Driver Loses Control of Vehicle on Shabbos Morning, Causes Significant Damage to Home

On Shabbos morning at 11:30 a driver lost control of her vehicle at 49 West Maple Avenue in Monsey. The car rammed into a parked vehicle which then careened into the garage of the home, causing structural damage. 

Local police and fire departments responded to the scene. 

The driver, a 38 year old resident of the Bronx, remained at the scene, and turned out to have been driving with a suspended license. She was arrested and processed at the scene, and transported to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries. 

Multiple departments responded to ensure safety at the scene as well as to help secure the structure.
