Double Bombing at Bus Stops in Ramot Hurls Israel Back to Bygone Era of Terror
Rockland Daily Staff
A bomb planted by terrorists exploded at a Ramot bus stop at the entrance to Jerusalem around 7:06 this morning.
Tragically, Aryeh Shchupak, a sixteen-year-old Canadian living in Har Nof, was murdered at the Weitzman Boulevard bus stop at the entrance to the Yerushalayim. He was on his way to Yeshiva. Eighteen individuals were wounded.
The Weitzman Boulevard bomb was dropped off in a bag by a terrorist on an electric bike.
The second explosion, hidden on a moped, went off twenty-nine minutes later at 7:35, also in Ramot. Three more were injured in the second explosion from glass and shrapnel as the bomb was full of metal pieces to maximize pain and suffering. A number of people were also treated for shock.
Police are looking into a possible third bomb in Ramot, while there are also reports of another bomb found nearby on Tuesday.
True to form, Hamas aired a congratulatory message, blaming the terrorist attack on Israel’s attempts to Jewify Al Aqsa.
