Demarest Kill County Park Re-Opens

The Demarest Kill County Park on New Hempstead Road in New Hempstead is back open following the $5.7M rehabilitation of the Demarest Kill Dam. 

The dam closed last January to bring the seventy-five-year-old Zebrowski-Morahan Demarest Kill County Park Dam up to modern safety standards, as reported by Rockland Daily here. The project was done by the Rockland County Drainage Agency.
