Daytime Closures Planned for West Nyack Road Water Main Project

Veolia Water is set to begin a water main replacement project on West Nyack Road between Strawtown Road and West Nyack Way on Friday, with prep work already underway today.

According to the Town of Clarkstown, traffic on West Nyack Road between Strawtown Road and West Nyack Way will be closed weekdays from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. during construction hours. Drivers attempting to reach Western Highway and westbound Route 59 via West Nyack Way will be detoured north to Klein Avenue by way of West Street.

The temporary daytime detours are expected to remain in place through next week.

The town also noted that paving work on West Nyack Road is expected to begin shortly after the Veolia project is completed.
