Crash on the Palisades Leaves One Dead, One Critically Injured

One person was killed, and another is in serious condition after a 2021 Hyundai traveling northbound on the Palisades Parkway near Exit 13, left the roadway and crashed into a tree early this morning .

The vehicle was split in half after hitting a tree and ending up in the center median at around 2:30 a.m.  Chevy Thomas, age 36, of Maybrook was pronounced dead at the scene.

Last night's incident is the second fatal accident on the Palisades Parkway in the North Rockland area in the past three days.
