Construction of Rockland's Fire Operations Building Underway

by M.C. Millman
The construction of a new Fire Operations Building which will provide Rockland firefighters with a training facility close to home, is well underway.
The project, as reported on Rockland Daily here, began nearly a year and a half ago at the Rockland County Fire Training Center in Pomona.
The building will be equipped with a four-story tower, multiple burn rooms, and more, allowing the County's volunteer firefighters to train for search and rescue, propelling from buildings, and many other firefighting operations.
The project is expected to be completed mid-winter.
