By Rockland Daily Staff
Congressman Mike Lawler joined local officials Tuesday morning at Clarkstown Town Hall to announce more than $33 million in federal Community Project Funding (CPF) secured for municipalities across Rockland County and the Hudson Valley, aimed at strengthening infrastructure, transportation, and public safety.
Representatives from 13 municipalities that received funding attended the press conference, highlighting how the federal investments will address critical local needs and long-planned community projects.
Among the allocations announced:
- $5 million for the Town of Ramapo for pedestrian safety improvements.
- $5 million for the Town of Clarkstown to support the Nanuet TOD project.
- $1 million for the Village of Kaser to support a bus transit project, improving transportation access for residents.
- $4 million for the Village of New Square for road infrastructure improvements.
- $6.8 million for the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office to build a new training facility.
- $1 million for Memorial Drive reconstruction in the Village of Suffern
- and more
“These projects were identified by the communities themselves. Working together with local leaders, we were able to deliver targeted investments that will strengthen infrastructure, support public safety, and improve quality of life across the Hudson Valley,” said Congressman Lawler.
Officials said the projects will help improve transportation networks, enhance public safety resources, and support continued development throughout Rockland County.
