Clarkstown Police Searching For Wannabe Car Thieves

The Clarkstown Police Department is investigating two attempted thefts in New City.

Both attempts, which happened on Preakness Lane and Gable Road, were for luxury vehicles. 

The Clarkstown Detective Bureau is asking neighbors to review camera footage they might have, specifically between 2AM-6AM, and to contact the police department at (845) 639-5800 if they observe anything suspicious. 

The police are also reminding homeowners to ensure they remove any valuables from the car and lock it properly to deter vandals.
