Breaking: Ramapo Police Make Arrest in New Square String of Car Break-ins

By M. C. Millman
After locating the vehicle involved in yesterday's string of car break-ins in the Village of New Square, as reported by Rockland Daily here, Ramapo police detectives waited until the suspect returned to his car in Haverstraw last night at 11:30 p.m. before taking him into custody.
Rockland Daily confirmed with the Ramapo Police Department that the suspect was officially arrested at 1:45 a.m. and is presently waiting to be arraigned. He will be charged with multiple larcenies as well as attempted burglary.
The second suspect in the incident has not yet been arrested.
Incidents of this sort are a rarity in New Square, where the village has its own security patrol that works in tandem with the Ramapo Police Department to keep the village safe.
