Beware of Black Ice as Overnight Freeze Creates Slippery Commute

Commuters, pedestrians, and cyclists need to beware of patches of treacherous black ice lurking on roadways and sidewalks as yesterday's melting wet snow and slush iced up when temperatures dropped below freezing overnight.
Drivers should exercise caution, drive slower, and maintain a safe following distance between vehicles. Avoid sudden maneuvers and hard braking.
