BDE: Rav Moshe Gedaliah Schwab, zt”l

We regret to inform you of the passing of Rav Moshe Schwab, zt”l, Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshiva Degel HaTorah and Mesivta Maamar Mordechai in Monsey. He was 76 years of age. 

The Rosh Yeshiva was known for his gaonus and his hasmodoh in Torah. He was the son of Rav Mordechai Schwab, and followed in his illustrious ways. 

The Rosh Yeshiva was also known for his ahavas HaTorah—seeking to transmit that love to his talmidim. Indeed, the yeshiva produced many illustrious graduates who were forever impacted by this Gadol in our midst. 

Rav Schwab battled illness the last few years, and was niftar at NYU over Shabbos to great mourning of his family and all who knew and admired him.  

The levaya will take place on Sunday at 1:30 PM at Yeshiva Degel Hatorah, 111 Maple Avenue.
