Assemblyman Aron Wieder Recognizes Pfizer Scientists on Assembly Floor

ALBANY, NY — New York State Assemblyman Aron Wieder (97th District) honored a group of dedicated doctors and scientists from Pfizer’s Pearl River facility during a floor recognition in the State Assembly this week.

Wieder highlighted the team’s important role in advancing public health, scientific innovation, and the development of life-saving treatments that benefit communities across New York and around the world.

“These professionals continue a proud tradition of innovation that impacts not only our state but the global community,” Wieder said. “Their work strengthens our response to public health challenges and drives the future of modern medicine.”

The Assemblyman also noted the group’s contributions to the local economy and the 97th District’s growing reputation as a hub for scientific research and excellence.

“At a time when science and medicine are more important than ever, it is fitting that we recognize those who devote their careers to this critical work,” he added.

Wieder asked his Assembly colleagues to join him in honoring the scientists for their dedication and expertise, and requested they be extended the privileges and courtesies of the People’s House.

The Pfizer Pearl River facility has long served as a major center for pharmaceutical research and development in Rockland County and the Hudson Valley.
