Arrest Made of Hillcrest Burglar
The Ramapo Police Department has been on the lookout for a known repeat offender who conducted a commercial burglary in the Hillcrest area on Wednesday, March 27, and another on Thursday, March 28.

Upon investigating the incident, officers suspected the criminal was a forty-two-year-old Hillcrest resident previously known to the Ramapo Police Department. Detectives noted that the suspect's clothing description also appeared to match a suspect from a recent larceny. Ramapo detectives worked with Spring Valley Police Department detectives to share information about their respective investigations.
Thursday afternoon, the Spring Valley Police Department apprehended the suspect, who was still in possession of some of the stolen proceeds from the Spring Valley Police Department case. Ramapo detectives responded to further their investigation, which led to the recovery of stolen proceeds from their case as well.

The forty-two-year-old has been charged with Burglary, third Degree, Grand Larceny, fourth Degree, and Criminal Possession of stolen property, fifth Degree, in relation to the Ramapo burglary. He is currently being held at the Ramapo Police Department until he can be arraigned on March 29th.
