Air Quality Health Advisory in Effect For The Lower Hudson Valley Region

The New York State Environmental Conservation (EC) and the New York State Department of Health have jointly issued an Air Quality Health Advisory for Ozone, effective today, May 22nd, in the Lower Hudson Valley region.
This advisory is a precautionary measure aimed at protecting public health, particularly for individuals who may be sensitive to air pollution. Ozone, a harmful air pollutant, can exacerbate respiratory conditions such as asthma and bronchitis, and can also affect the elderly and children.
