A Friendly Heads Up: Parks May Fill Up Early

The bags are packed, the snacks are ready, and the weather is perfect. But you get there and the entrance is closed.

Lake Welch, Bear Mountain, and Hi Tor have all had early closures lately, and it can catch people off guard. 

These parks can only welcome a certain number of visitors at a time. Once they reach that point, they pause entry until space opens up. Before heading out, take a minute to check for updates. Try to go early and have a backup spot in mind just in case.

A little preparation can keep your day running smoothly from start to finish.
