12 Year Old Boy Bitten by Bear
A 12-year-old boy was bitten by a black bear during a camping
trip at Harriman State Park in late April, reported the NYPost.
“It was absolutely crazy!” Henry Ayers told NBC New York.
The bear appeared at his tent around 1:30 am hunting for
food when it bit Ayer’s leg.
Fortunately, though, the boy was left with only minor
injuries.
“It was crazy — it was a giant bear leaning right over me. I
screamed and I kicked at it,” the boy said, saying the bear wandered away at
the commotion.
The bear was later captured in the state park, which is in Rockland and Orange counties.
