Weekend Weather: Cold Before the Storm

This weekend in Monsey will bring dangerous cold and very low wind chills, followed by a major snowstorm that could drop 8–14 inches of snow, with locally higher totals possible, mainly from late Shabbos night through Sunday.

Friday will be cold and dry with a high of 34° and a low of 6°, and a Cold Weather Advisory is in effect overnight with wind chills near 10 below.

Shabbos stays bitterly cold with a high of 17° and a low of 9°, and the cold wind will keep it feeling much colder at times.

Sunday is expected to bring the main storm, with heavy snow and a high and low around 15°, and totals in Monsey currently projected at 8–14 inches, with 12–18 inches listed as the most likely range on the Weather snowfall outlook.
