Village of Spring Valley Reminds Residents of Weekly Yard Waste Pickup Schedule

The Village of Spring Valley is reminding residents that curbside yard waste collection will take place every Wednesday through December 31.

The weekly pickup includes leaf bags, grass clippings, and brush placed at the curb. Residents are asked to separate the leaf bags, grass clippings, and brush before putting them out for collection.

Leaves and grass clippings must be placed in biodegradable bags and not in plastic shopping or garbage bags. Residents can pick up biodegradable bags free of charge at the Spring Valley Department of Public Works Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m

Loose brush and twigs must be cut to a maximum of four feet in length and tied securely with twine before pickup.

Residents are advised to have yard waste prepared and placed at the curb ahead of the Wednesday pickup days, as collections can at times begin during the early morning hours.
