Tomorrow: Nyack Firefighter’s Memorial Parade

Tomorrow morning, the Village of Nyak will be hosting a Firefighter’s Memorial Parade to honor the brave volunteer firefighters who put their lives at risk every day to protect the community, as well as the firefighters we have lost in the past year. 

The parade comes shortly after the devastating residential fires at the West Shore Towers and Nyack Plaza apartment complexes earlier this week, which displaced thirteen Nyack families.

The parade will take off at 9am from New Street in Nyack, and will go to right onto Broadway, to Main Street, Midland Avenue, Sickles Avenue, and then to the Firefighters Memorial at Oak Hill Cemetery. Residents lining the streets are asked to observe the parade with respectful decorum to properly honor the firefighters.
