TOMORROW NIGHT: Dramatic Pushback Against “Sanctuary County” at Rockland County Legislature

YS GOLD

The debate over Rockland County’s immigration status reaches a boiling point tomorrow night, Tuesday, February 3, at 7:00 PM, as the Rockland County Legislature prepares to vote on the contentious "Our Safety and Dignity for All Act".

A poster circulating throughout the community is calling for a massive turnout at the Legislature Building on New Hempstead Road to "Stop Rockland From Becoming a Sanctuary County."

The meeting at 11 New Hempstead Road is expected to be one of the most significant legislative sessions in recent years. With Democrats holding a supermajority capable of overriding a potential veto, the opposition is urging the public to "Show Up. Speak Out. Be Heard" to preserve what they call "common sense" in Rockland.
