Student Injured in Car Accident at University Parking Lot

A student at Dominican University in Orangeburg was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle in a parking lot.

Blauvelt Fire Department, Orangetown Police, and South Orangetown EMS Orangetown FD  all responded. A medical helicopter was requested, but after assessing the situation, crews decided to take the patient by ground ambulance instead.

She was brought to Westchester Medical Center, where officials said she is in serious but stable condition.
