Senator Bill Weber Announces Second Annual Blood Drive Competition

Senator Bill Weber, in conjuction with the Red Cross, has announced that the second annual Blood Drive Challenge in Rockland County will take place at the end of July, with the five towns participating throughout the week. 

The first ever blood drive competition was held last summer, and Clarkstown came in as the winner with 30 units of blood and 18 first-time donors. 

The schedule for this year's blood drive is as follows: 

  • July 28-Orangetown 
  • July 29th-Ramapo
  • July 30th-Haverstraw
  • July 31st-Stony Point
  • August 1st-Clarkstown 

Towns can win by either having the most units of blood donated, or the most newly registered blood donors.
