Rockland Responds: New Turning Lane On West Street; Improvement Or Not?
By Idy Perl
To Spring Valley Officials,
Recently a new turning lane was added on West Street at the West Central Avenue intersection. I'm concerned that the new lane can exacerbate traffic issues as the road is very narrow and might not be able to accomodate buses and trucks alongside another lane.
Would it be possible to remove the new lane?
Thank you,
A concerned resident
Spring Valley Official Responds:
The new turning lane was added at the request of many local drivers who experienced delays at the intersection.
The Village installed the new lane to try and see if it can ease traffic and improve the issues drivers had.
If problems arise as time goes on we will reeavulate to ensure that traffic runs smoothly.
Thank you
