Rockland County Hosts Walking Tours For New Rockland Riverway Trail
By Idy Perl
This summer, Rockland County will be hosting guided tours along several segments of the new Rockland Riverway Trail to gather input and ideas from local residents as the pathway nears completion.
The Rockland Riverway Trail is a 26-mile walkway between the Palisades and Stony Point, and gives pedestrians and cyclists a beautiful walkway along the Hudson River.
The guided tours will take place on segments of the trail in Orangetown, Piermont, Stony Point, and Haverstraw. The tours will each cover around a mile of the pathway and show the potential safety and accessability improvements that will be made to the trail. Participants will also be able to provide feedback to shape the ongoing work.
