Ramapo Prepares For Pesach Season

By Idy Perl

The Town of Ramapo held a meeting in the Town Hall today with the leaders of local agencies and Jewish askanim to discuss the upcoming Pesach season. Some of the attendees included the fire inspector, Ramapo Police sergeant, waste services, R' Yosef Margareten, Spring Valley Trustee Yisroel Eisenbach, and more.

Several different topics were on the agenda to help Ramapo properly prepare for the busy season ahead. They discussed several measures that will be implemented in the weeks leading up to Pesach, such as additional garbage pick ups and extra law enforcement to help control traffic during the busy season. They designated several sites for chometz burning and discussed the safety measures that need to be put in place.

The meeting was a testament to the collaboration between the town, local government agencies, and the Jewish community.
