One Firefighter Injured in Chicken Coop Structure Fire in Pearl River

Major flames were seen on video as a structure fire broke out this afternoon at 305 Laurel Road in Pearl River. Fire crews from multiple departments responded to the scene around 2:30 p.m.

The fire involved a chicken coop, but thankfully all the chickens were unharmed. One firefighter sustained injuries while working to contain the blaze and was treated at the scene.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire. Crews worked quickly to prevent the flames from spreading to nearby structures, and residents in the area were advised to exercise caution while emergency operations were underway.
