Newburgh–Beacon Bridge Shuttle Now Fully Up and Running One Week In
By Y.M. Lowy
One week after expanded service officially began, the Newburgh–Beacon Bridge Shuttle is now fully operational and actively serving riders traveling between Orange County and the Beacon Metro-North station.
The shuttle, which launched its expanded schedule at the start of the month, is now consistently meeting Metro-North trains on the Hudson Line and is fully accessible for riders with disabilities. Transit officials confirmed that the service is running as planned, and newly released photos show the buses in regular use by commuters throughout the day.
Riders now have dependable access to both express and local routes across the bridge, connecting Newburgh, Beacon, and key park-and-ride locations. With the first week complete and full service underway, the shuttle is now operating as intended heading into the rest of January.
