New City Fire Department Hosting Fire Prevention Open House

The New City Fire Engine Co. No. 1 will host its annual Fire Prevention Open House on Sunday, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 15 Maple Avenue in New City.

The event is free and open to the public, with plenty of activities for families. Visitors can watch firematic demonstrations, explore fire prevention and safety stations, and take part in a home safety booth designed to help residents prepare for emergencies. Awards from the Fire Prevention Contest will also be presented.

With sunny weather in the forecast, the open house is a chance to learn important safety skills while spending a fun filled Sunday.
