HAZMAT Cleans Up Fuel Spill In New City

A fuel spill in New City this afternoon promted a swift response from HAZMAT and other emergency response teams.

The spill came from a car that got punctured and starting leaking fuel on the road at S Little Tor Road and Central Avenue in New City.

Clarkstown Police, New City Fire Department, and the Rockland County HAZMAT team all responded to the scene to safely clean up the spill. The leak in the vehicle was closed up by the HAZMAT team with a special clay.
