Gerer Rebbe Arrives in America for Historic Mission

The Gerer Rebbe has arrived in the United States early Sunday morning for an emergency historic mission to strengthen the world of Gerer institutions for Torah and chassidus throughout the land of Eretz Yisroel. 

The mission takes place in the shadow of a terrible political crisis, and in the midst of severe and drastic cuts to the financial budgets of mosdos haTorah by the Israeli government.  

The Rebbe has set an incredibly ambitious goal for this trip: raising the funds that will sustain all the Gerer mosdos for two years! 

During the course of this mission, the Rebbe will visit prominent philanthropists in America, and attend a special dinner hosted by the legendary Agudah askan and prominent Gerer chossid, Reb Shloime Werdiger. 

While here, the rebbe will formally inaugurate the sprawling new building for Cheder Imrei Emes d’Gur. The massive building has been upgraded and renovated at a cost of millions of dollars. 

Legendary philanthropist Yoel Landau of Williamsburg has placed his private plane at the Rebbes disposal, and the rebbe is being hosted by Reb Yanky Klein throughout his visit. 

American Jewry welcomes the Rebbe with excitement and with anticipation for the enhancement of Kvod Shomayim.
