Early Morning Drama: Police Smash Window to Arrest Unconscious Drunk Driver After Hydrant Crash

By Akivah W.

Early this morning, Spring Valley Police responded to a dramatic scene at the corner of Prospect Street and Ewing Avenue, where a vehicle had crashed into a fire hydrant.

Upon arrival, officers were shocked to find the car still in drive, with the driver slumped over the wheel, completely unresponsive. Despite repeated attempts to wake him, the intoxicated driver remained unconscious.

Concerned that the running vehicle posed a further danger, police broke the window, safely removed the driver, and placed him under arrest. Fortunately, no one else was injured in the incident.
