Driver Rescued After Vehicle Fire on Northbound Thruway Near Saddle River Road Overpass

Emergency crews responded to a vehicle fire on the northbound Thruway near the Saddle River Road overpass, where a car became engulfed in flames last night.

The Monsey Fire Department, Chaveirim, New York State Police, and Faist EMS were all dispatched to the scene. Before first responders arrived, civilians were able to extricate the driver from the burning vehicle.

The driver was treated by EMS at the scene for minor injuries. Firefighters quickly brought the flames under control, and State Police are handling the investigation.
