On Election Day in Rockland County, county executive Ed Day took time out to speak with Rockland Daily about his election prospects and his plans for the future should he become reelected.
Asked how he feels about his prospects in the election, Mr. Day said, “I am feeling confident that the residents of Rockland County have witnessed the job I have been doing since I was first elected and will continue to support me. I’ve cut property taxes and eliminated minor taxes to put money back in people’s pockets.”
Day expressed his anticipation to continue serving the residents of Rockland County, saying, “As the top elected official in Rockland I have worked with every community and will continue to do so, part of that is understanding the needs and how we, at the County level, can assist. I am committed to ensuring we do what we can and keeping open lines of communication.”
Looking ahead to the improvements he wishes to bring to the county in his next term, Mr. Day told Rockland Daily: “I will work with local leadership to identify the needs of the diverse populations and assist as we can within the confines of County Government.”
Asked how it has been working with the Orthodox community in Rockland County, he responded: “Rockland is extremely diverse and part of being County Executive is recognizing those communities and working with them in a manner that is beneficial to both the community and the county as a whole.”
