Chestnut Ridge Swearing In Ceremony For Elected Officials

Last night, the Village of Chestnut Ridge held a ceremonial swearing in for several elected officials who began their new terms on Monday.
Among those sworn in were Village Mayor Rosaria Presti Jr., Village Justice Walter Sevastian, Trustees Shmuli Fromovitz and Chaim Rose, who also took the oath for another term as Deputy Mayor. The Oath of Office was administered by Rockland County District Attorney Thomas Walsh, while NYS Senator Bill Weber, who made the trip from Albany for the occasion, held the Bible.
The event was attended by a number of local leaders, including Rockland County Legislators Joel Friedman and Jesse Malowitz, Spring Valley Trustee Yisroel Eisenbach, Assistant District Attorney Pat Frawley, East Ramapo School Board President Shimmy Rose, Detective Lieutenant Michael Duggan, and Finkelstein Library Trustee — and Spring Valley mayoral candidate — Darnett Davis.
“I am grateful and honored to have been reelected as Trustee for the Village of Chestnut Ridge,” said Trustee Chaim Rose. “Serving the community and all residents is a privilege that I don’t take lightly. We have made a lot of progress over the past few years, and I am proud of all that we have accomplished. I look forward to continuing to advocate for our residents in a meaningful way.”
“I really appreciate the vote of confidence,” said Trustee Shmuli Fromovitz. “There’s a lot more we want to get done, and I’m looking forward to working together with the Mayor and the entire Board to keep things moving in the right direction for Chestnut Ridge.”
