BDE: R' Yisroel Moshe Direnfeld, z"l

On the first night of Chanukah, R' Yisroel Moshe Direnfeld returned his neshamah to its Maker in New Square. He was among the great askonim in the battle against improper use of technology, and was deeply involved in the great kinus Klal Yisroel that took place at CitiField many yeaes ago. 

The niftar was among the distinguished residents of New Square, deeply mekushar the Admrim of Skver. In his work for the purity of Klal Yisrael, he became endeared to gedolei Yisroel, including the Skulener Rebbe, Rav Matisyahu Solomon, and others. He stood at their right hand in organizing the great kinus. 

He was sadly unwell in recent years, and was niftar at the age of 68 on the first night of Chanukah. 

The levaya took place at midnight in front of the Skverer beis medrash.
