BDE: Mrs. Yitti Tabak, a”h

We regret to inform you of the petirah of Mrs. Yitti Tabak
of Mt. Kisco and Monsey. She was 76 years old and passed away Wednesday evening, leaving behind beautiful generations.
She was born on the Lower East Side of Manhattan in 1949.
Her father, Reb Moshe Mordechai Weiss, was an ardent Spinka Chossid.
Tragically, her father was killed in a holdup on the East Side when she was a
young girl. Her mother remarried Reb Yankel Berger who raised her as his own.
Mrs. Tabak was well-known in the Monsey community as the
proprietor of the Trading Post on Main Street in Monsey. Many Monsey residents benefitted from her and her refined ways while shopping at the store.
She raised her family in Mt. Kisco until fifteen years ago
when she relocated to Monsey.
Her husband, ybl”ch, Reb Moshe Tabak, is among the chashuve
mispalelim and kovei ittim l’Torah at the Satmar Shul at 13 Monsey
Boulevard.
Mrs. Tabak was diagnosed with a disease a few years ago and
passed away Wednesday from complications of her illness.
The levaya will take place at 10:30 this morning at the
Satmar Shul, 13 Monsey Boulevard.
