Arrests Made In Connection To Walmart Bomb Threat

On Sunday, March 9, 2025, the Ramapo Police Department received a report of a bombthreat at Walmart, located in the Village of Airmont.
Witnesses informed responding officers that 2 males had entered the store and conveyed that they had a bomb. The males exited the location prior to police arrival. The suspect’s actions prompted an evacuation of the building and a coordinated response from multiple law enforcement agencies. The building was searched by K9s specializing in explosive detection and no explosive was found.
The Ramapo Police Investigations Division conducted an investigation and was able to identify the 2 suspects. On Wednesday, March 12, 2025, the two males were placed under arrest. Both Francky Charles, a 21-year-old from Spring Valley, N.Y. and Roosevelt Depas, a 22-year-old from Nyack, N.Y. were charged with Making a Terroristic Threat (D-Felony). They were arraigned before the Village of Airmont Honorable Justice Straus and released without bail pending future court appearances.
